Reflex38 IRC Racing Yacht Review

The Reflex38 is a top performer on the yacht racing circuit and was designed originally as a one design offshore race boat for the Formual1 company to train round the world crews on. The Reflex38 or ‘clipper’ as it was orginally named is fully compliant with all the ISO regulations for sailing charter yachts and is unusual because it was designed specifically to meet these stringent regulations.

The Reflex 38 is a very stylish yacht which is easy to sail and very comfortable, making for an enjoyable day out on the water. The deck layout was carefully designed for a the practical sailing experience, and the interior whilst very basic is also extremely practical even when wveturing offshore for days at a time.

With a competitive rating of 1.056, the Vivace a Reflex 38 will be pushing hard in 2011 to gain top positions in the Race entered. The Reflex38 yacht has excellent proven capabilities as an offshore racing yacht, but is also able to caqrry out all the requirement when running a Race Yacht charter operation such as charter, crew sail training, corporate entertainment and racing, it was designed well ahead of its time by Christian Stimpson, and still has the ability to shine on the race course again the new lighter displacement yachts.

In August 2002, the Daily Telegraph described the Reflex 38 as “a yacht that seems to have that rare ability to shine in all conditions.” We believe that the Reflex38 is the perfect yacht for corporate entertainment, crew training and racing, and think you will love it too.
